Tornado Water Ride 2015 - "The award-winning extreme water slide simulates a natural storm experience, where you start your journey being catapulted from 36 feet in the air through a 110-foot tunnel before plummeting into the eye of the storm. Spin around the Tornado’s funnel in a four person raft where you will sweep up the Tornado’s wall experience weightlessness or zero gravity, splashing back and forth through the menacing, swirling water before being released into the calm shallows below. The Pacific Northwest’s only ½ Mile Dual Alpine Slide, this major attraction sends you flying down a half mile track of twists and turns through mountain meadows before dropping you back off in the base area of Skibowl West. You’ll drop 350 feet over the half mile ride with average speeds around 20 MPH as you wind your way down the track. Speeds of up to 37 MPH have been reached.
These are samples I got from pacific bearing of some very nice linear profile rails. These are not ball bearing cars but instead use Teflon coated rails and Teflon inner coated cars. These suckers are dead quiet and I think I like them as much or better then the ball bearing version. The larger Y a is peice is rather awesome.
The Frank Slide was a rockslide that buried part of the mining town of Frank, Alberta, Canada. The province of Alberta was not created until September 1905, more than two years after the slide. The community was still part of the Northwest Territories when the incident occurred at 4:10 am on April 29, 1903. Over 82 million tonnes (90 million tons) of limestone rock slid down Turtle Mountain within 100 seconds, obliterating the eastern edge of Frank, the Canadian Pacific Railway line and the coal mine. It was one of the largest landslides in Canadian history and remains the deadliest, as between 70 and 90 of the town's residents were killed, most of whom remain buried in the rubble. Multiple factors led to the slide: Turtle Mountain's formation left it in a constant state of instability. Co...

Reflecta RPS 7200 Dias scanner ( In the US Pacific Image PrimeFilm 7250 Pro Slide scanner ). Scanning in 3600 dpi with Vuescan software. 3600 dpi is more than enough for most slides. It is not a very fast scanner, but the quality is good and it offers good value for money. It can scan single slides, and also negative strips. It can also scan in 7200 dpi however 3600 dpi is faster and most slides have no more information anyway. 3600 dpi is 17M Pixels in one 24x36mm slide. Most older slides have no more resolution than 10M pixel. Also tests have shown that the "7200" dpi setting is not 7200 dpi but far lower, meaning that the 3600 dpi and 7200 dpi setting will give almost identical real resolution. Because the "3600" dpi setting is close to real 3600 dpi. http://www.filmscanner.info/en/Re...
